Yo I’m not sure if you saw but the Black essayist you sent 70k followers after on Twitter because you couldn’t handle someone having criticism of Arcane said they don’t forgive you around 16 hours ago on that app. Kind of interesting how you haven’t posted this artwork over there yet.

Taps the sign. Our words are performative and part of the problem if we do not do exactly this. We are not above criticism or responsibility for our actions, just because we are saying what the black community has been pointing out for years.

we r not exempt from criticism or separated from other white queers just because we r doing some basic decency speaking on/spreading light on issues that involve racism

last part of rant 4 right now i think, if you are a white queer do not separate ur self from what other white queers r doing when you speak about it. even if you, yourself are not partaking in this stuff personally, we are still obligated to leave room open for us to be criticized ourselves,

transphobic” when they r literally just pointing out how weird a good portion of jayvik fans treat black characters says so much about how white queers tend to victimize ourselves at the expense of black people especially at the expense of black people from our own fucking community

people also tend to ignore the fact that queer and trans black people in this fandom r often receiving so much bullshit where ever they r in pretty much any fucking space here. automatically assuming anyone criticizing how a community interacts with its black fans, is “being homophobic, or-

The rampant racism, especially misogynoir, that gets hand waved away because people enjoy the art of those perpetuating vile hate continues to disappoint. Everyone has the capacity to grow and learn, but the lack of awareness or desire to do better in this fandom is astonishing.

It's extremely transparent and wrong. it's so god damn wrong and proves every single point I've seen made about jayviks. No accountability, doubling down on antiblack behavior. I'm barely scratching the surface here and it doesn't feel enough while also, everyone in the echo chamber KNOWS what I'm

yes, people speak more unfiltered here since there's not as many black women over here compared to twt. it's very transparent (thank you for speaking up though! <3)

>_> this app seems to be an echo chamber for everyone to diss Mel fans and call them aggressive bullies. Mel fans aren't on here to defend themselves - and thats.. a good thing? to everyone here? avoiding the arcane twitter drama (calling out racism) instead of addressing the problem?

Gonna tap the sign again. Do not like those posts to absolve yourselves of guilt. I don't post them to do that, for me or anyone else. This is a real, real problem and I want us all to take whatever uncomfortable feelings we have and think, listen, learn, and do better.

Does no one have an ounce of compassion, of empathy? None of us? I'm a white trans person in a queer relationship and jayvik are EVERYTHING to me and I can sit down and shut up and listen to black voices when they say my community is harming them. It's not hard, it doesn't take ANYTHING from me.
