Sometimes when I peek at webcomic Bluesky I get very nostalgic seeing the names of old homies from nearly ten years ago. Some are still trucking along and some finished their stuff. I know my webcomic would have finally ended around this time too, ten years later 🥲

Work AND my love life became super difficult out of nowhere. I cut off two guys and am stepping back from dating yet again 🥲 It has however, inspired me to write some lil short story bits with my sona Liz. That’s been a very good outlet.

Sometimes I see the kiddos on here stressing and trying to create styles that will land them work and I wanna just gently take their hands and be like Honeybee you have plenty of time. Just draw what makes you happy.

The internet stressed me out so much during my 20s. Trying to create for the sole purpose of being seen and landing a job was actually soul crushing and hindered my growth. I mean fuck, my messy ass sketchbooks are what got me my tattoo apprenticeship.

"Artists peak at 30", "30 under 30", "by 30 you should" ridiculous. Arts industries capital craves young people to exploit and burn out. It doesn't want older artists thriving and guiding the young. It also doesn't want artists to exist. Stop letting cannibals tell you you only matter on a plate.
