This week @pancelor.bsky.social started working on a semi-procedural "Chaos Mode" - it smushes together chunks of hand built levels with randomly chosen enemies, hazards and quests. It is still early, but I like this approach for trying to avoid the oatmeal problem #screenshotsaturday

I have this very loose design pillar for Gaarl that everything in the game should be "recognizably something", even if that something doesn't really belong. I am hoping that a big collection of somethings will accumulate into an interesting collage of stuff
