It's been a few hours since final whistle so some clarity of thought on the #Bombers... Tonight was a nice win. Doesn't prove anything. I don't think we can say they are "back" but it's promising. That was the best all-around game the team has played all season.

You know Helle's public trade request from #NHLJets is big when ESPN sits up and takes notice... 😬 I expected a lot more "of course he wants out of Winnipeg..." hope. None of that. And the thing is, they aren't wrong. This happens in the NHL all the time. Rarely in any of the other three bigs.

Anway that's my rant on Helle. I will always be a huge fan of the guy. Best damn goalie I'll ever see live - and I got to watch Hasek, Roy, Belfour, Brodeur.. I hate that his run here will end like this.

My two cents: I would not expect Connor Hellebuyck to report for #NHLJets training camp if a deal isn’t done by then. The regular season, if it goes that far? That’s when it would start to get costly for him as NHL paycheques start flowing — unless you are on strike.

It makes sense why Connor Hellebuyck has made his trade demands public now. His full no move clause changes to a modified no trade clause on July 1, 2027 where he can submit 10 teams he can be traded to. He has complete control now and wants this done before that goes away.

Goddammit he's even gracious and polite and loveable when asking to get away from this sad #NHLJets franchise.
