Selfishly I have a sort of ‘fine, do it bro’ attitude about this because, frankly, I could sustain myself for decades just playing games in my backlog, many of which I still own physically. If I never buy a new AAA game in my life, it’s convenient, if anything. Just give me the excuse, chief.
