I encourage all of us to have the grace and focus shown in this going up within minutes of the race being called.

1.3 million Michigan voters have cast their ballots as of 10 am, about 300,000 more than those in the 2024 primary, according to Michigan Secretary of State's Office
Dropped off my primary ballot today! Looking forward to voting for Abdul El-Sayed again in the general. 😊
Folks I won’t tell you not to feel your feelings, but this is rage bait. He’s talking about expanding beyond politics into things like live sports.
Bluesky's new CEO Toni Schneider on the platform's reputation for being a liberal bubble: "Yes, we definitely want that to change. It is already changing. It certainly wasn’t designed to attract one specific group of people."
TIL any form of good luck that happens on a Monday is just a monkey's paw.
i'm a subscriber to the verge but i think the written excerpt posted here is a little unfair here. "we have an open protocol we want anyone to be able to build on" isn't really the same as saying "we want nazis on here". most of his response is actually about their work on live events like sports
You ever see a take so bad that you feel dumber for reading it? Well....
Opinion: Mamdani's idea may sound appealing, but it's NYC taxpayers who will take the hit, subsidizing discounts they may never even use.
Reposting for visibility! Not exactly my thing but I’m sure someone’s interested
@lgr-yt.bsky.social Would you or anyone you know be interested in Amiga video production/midi adapters? These are just taking up space and don’t seem to move very often on eBay

I was thinking this morning about video games that were vastly improved by a port to another platform, such as arcade to console. Here are a few of them! (A thread) #gaming #videogames #retrogames
This is the first time I've seen someone with the actual correct interpretation of what is happening here: Sony wants to go full subscriptions service/cloud gaming. They don't want to sell you physical games because they don't want to sell you *games*. They want to sell you a subscription.
This took me several weeks to make because I went through several years worth of corporate/investor/earnings reports but... here it is! The actual, long-term reason Sony killed physical discs, and why they can't go back. youtu.be/_Znc7MVsSlg?...
I repotted an orchid! Which means I finally kept one alive and healthy long enough for it to need repotting! 🥳

Hassett: "Data centers are very good for towns bc they create so many jobs & bring people in with high incomes that can buy houses & stuff like that. So if you take a sleepy town that hasn't seen much in the last 30 years & put a data center there, there are gonna be a bunch of happy residents."
