I'm calling the Academy AH-1W finished, I had an absolute blast, especially with the skip eyelets/rotor tie downs and going all in on Abt 502 oils. Its been a while since they were a major part of my weathering, but its starting to work its way back in. #HistScaleModels #scalemodel #buildthestash

Being just a textured piece of paper, the locker doors felt a bit too simple and flat. so I decided to make handles for all of them out of copper wire and rolled paper. #papercraft #Tatra815 #AV15 #scalemodel #histscalemodels

Having thrown all caution to the wind I now continue to burn through my meagre retirement savings in the name of #scalemodelling I do hope the family aren’t expecting a holiday this year. It’s hot enough here anyhows. Not tools this time but new edition to the stash. Will be kitbashed & Italian red!
Not wanting to hide this particular light under a bushel…this is a genuinely brilliant book on so many levels… #booksky
@adamwatkinson1.bsky.social would just like to say thank you to Adam for recommending this book. I got it for my Italian mother in law. She loved it and is now reading his other books. She sent me a box of craft ales as a thank you !! Cheers Adam. 🍻🍻🍻
BREAKING: A video has appeared which clearly shows that Russia launched ballistic missiles with cluster bombs on Kyiv early this morning. 17 civilians killed and 40+ wounded #FuckPutin #Fuckruzzia
Morning All Happy midweek day! Tools of the day ! PE bending station and pliers. I have no idea what happened to my old ones!! Still odds and ends I need and still need to get a foldable table for a prebuild space. New workshop/bench is getting there. Have a great day folks.
#histscalemodels #scalemodels #BB56 #shipmodels I'm in the final leg of my 350th USS Washington build! So many sub assemblies 🥺 The differences between NC & Washington are minor but notable. Washington had 5 bridge portholes NC 8. Also most visible, NC had a 2nd platform level on the conning tower.
Just gotta tell folk. This is one of the best beers I’ve had in years. Low/non-alcohol or full fat. It’s simply amazing. Summer hit of citrus and mango hoppyness

Morning all. Happy tinkering Tuesday My cutting machine turned up this morning. Waiting on some new tools to arrive today. The new workshop/bench taking shape now. Only thing I can’t buy is more space - so having to sell off some of my retro/vintage computing stuff. Have a good one all
Calling this #ScaleModels #Honda a #FinishedKit! I'm happy with the result! Now, let's finished the base.
Well everyone needs a hobby I suppose 😆 You'd love the place I went to yesterday... Logan Botanical Gardens on the Mull of Galloway. They get a Gulf Stream microclimate and grow all sorts of Aus/NZ palms, tree ferns and brackens... very primordial!
Morning all. Have a great Monday. Another really hot one here, too hot for outside and the veg garden and will be too hot for the bench in an hour or two. More research and materials sorting today. Current obsession unlocked - researching primordial swamp scenes
The mighty Tirpitz in 200th & the PLAAF Z10 chopper are Trumpeter's newest in August. We have colours, decals & built-up kits & CADs showing features of them both in our preview... www.themodellingnews.com/2026/08/prev...
Oh my. Now I know why I bought those inks!!
Forgot I had these. Very useful scratch build mats. Thin pewter is so workable and stainless steel cloth scales so well. I can tease it open to make camo netting or use it for as fine a detail as mini net curtains, anti grenade netting, chainmail and so on. Florists materials !!!
