Y’all ever hear this Uriah Heep band? They’re kind of obscure. You probably don’t know about them. But you should check it out. I think you’d like ‘em.

First person to ever book this main event and there’s no way it’s under “three stars.”
Coffee grinder stopped working. Went out and bought a new coffee grinder. Got home and tested it out. Started thinking about how coffee grinders worked. Figured out how to fix the old grinder. Now I have two fully functional coffee grinders.
A “Tears of the Kingdom” style open-world video game set in the village from “Last of the Summer Wine” (and the surrounding countryside) where you’re Compo and you get to run around having adventures.
On Wednesday, the FBI FOIA Vault posted ~1,000 pages of its WWE files, I guess signaling that there's been an uptick in FOIA requests Re: WWE lately. Much of it's previously released 1992-1993 stuff, but there's also stuff Re: a bomb threat, a cyberattack, the licensing embezzlement scam, and more.

Cooking lunch and re-living my freshman year of college with one of the 5 records my roommate Eric always listened to. I hope Eric’s doing okay.
I feel like I’ve got one in me about 7 Seconds’ “Walk Together Rock Together” but it’s taking more than a month unless you’re gonna go to work for me.
You have a month to write a 33 1/3 book about the album of your choice. Which record are you going to write about? (No previously covered albums allowed; new shit must come to light: see below.) (For all books in the series: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/33_1/3) (H/t @monostich.bsky.social
It’s a shame that the only sprees we have these days are shopping and killing.
Literally had to explain the early 80s Kevin Sullivan / Dusty Rhodes feud from Florida to my therapist this morning and i swear, that guy should be paying ME
It’s infinitely frustrating to know that no matter how hard I try, I know I’m going to buy this.

Friends, I DO NOT LIKE “death match” wrestling but the Necro/Joe “Dark Side” gives it the respect it deserves. Just because it’s not for me doesn’t mean it’s not art.
Did my “every couple of years” check-in with “In The Aeroplane Over The Sea” this morning and: still good.
Made 25 copies of the new issue of “Low Effort.” 14 are stapled. 11 are bound with mint-flavored dental floss.
So nice of them to come visit me again.
AEW is bringing you a special night of television this September: #AEWRebelHeart Dynamite, honoring AEW's Rebel, who was diagnosed with ALS in March 2026. #AEWRebelHeart: Dynamite will emanate from the Akins Ford Arena in Athens, GA, on Wednesday, September 9.
The current fascination with Buc-ee's will be remembered the way we remember the "epic bacon" era of late 00s / early 10s internet. Buc-ee's is shit. Fuck Buc-ee's.
I took that political quiz that’s going around and was absolutely NOT surprised by the results.
Here's the cover of the next issue of "Low Effort." It'll be out next week sometime. I don't know how you can get one. If you want one, get in touch.
I do not want to see any movie in IMAX. Shit’s too big. Just give me a normal sized movie.

Having friends is great. Being a part of a community is great. Yelling music is great. I’m going to bed. Good night.
My favorite thing is when a band plays so fast they they can barely keep it together. The bad I’m watching now just did that. Everybody was focusing so hard on playing fast they forgot to play together. It ruled.
Just saw Zero Sum from Nashville. They were amazing.Best band I’ve seen in a while. Get into it. zerosumhc.bandcamp.com/album/die-fa...

Forever embarrassed by how much time and space I gave ol’ Steve Morrissey and how long it took me to admit to myself that he is fascist trash. The signs were always there.
My beef with Morrissey runs all the way back to 1986 when he said this about Black artists. Nineteen Eighty Six, while the Smiths were still active. It’s not a “later phenomenon” don’t try and lie to me www.standard.co.uk/culture/musi...
