That politicians wage war and commit terrible acts with the militaries at their command is one thing, but has any democratically elected leader ever caused such anxiety and dread with casual lies? The level of self-hate he must have to do that and the venality of his supporters is still shocking.

The President of the United States repeatedly lying about American citizens and trying to lock them up in a pathetic attempt to cover up a botched renovation of the Reflection Pool that wasted millions of taxpayer dollars should be a much bigger story in the news.

Hard to know what I would do in the circs. I wouldn't want to slight the American people, whom their Head of State represents, but I also think he is so egregrious a man that I would not want to acknowledge the ogre.
