So we replaced the battery in this copy of emerald when I bought it. We did something slightly wrong so after 60+hrs of gameplay, the battery stopped working. So we replaced the battery again and I'm happy to report after roughly 60 MORE hours of gameplay, my berries are growing again.
Not much progress on the Pokedex front but a bit. 300 seen National is a pretty big milestone to meet.
