It's a healthcare economy, and the rest of us are just living in it.

CNBC on the July jobs report: "Minus -- minus! -- 23,000 on non-farm payrolls. That would be the second worst number of the year ... revisions -- another whopper! Minus 103,000 ... average hourly earnings -- big miss!"

Seems relevant: Canada is creating jobs at a rate that is roughly 4x that in the United States.

Here's why this is so grim. Folks expected jobs growth to slow to +80k, but we got -23k. Also downward revisions to the last two months subtracted a total of -103k. So over the past three months, the US economy created about -200k fewer jobs than we had thought.

Any senator who votes to confirm Todd Blanche would be signing off on what is essentially a $100 million get-out-of-jail-free card for Trump. He must not be confirmed.
