The next James Bond should be... kind of young. I'm not saying they should do The Adventures of Young Bond or anything, but you have to figure they're going to get a movie every 2-4 years (average). They got 5 films out of Craig and cast him when he was in his early 40s. 1/

Private Prisons: We could construct a high security complex to house violent felons in your community! Oil Industry: Fracking your backyard is actually *good* for the environment. Tech Industry: Or we can build a data center! Public: ... Tech Industry: Well? Which one? Public: We're thinking.

I don't know if Mitch Mcconnell is alive or dead, but the whole situation does make me think every politician above, say, state comptroller or deputy mayor should be chipped like an aging chihuahua and tracked with an app available to any American with a cell phone.

My back of the napkin assessment is that SpaceX is worth about $30-50/share. Unfortunately, I can't short the stock as in this economy I have all my money invested in recyclable bottles and aluminum cans.

I made a healthy smoothie. Sure, it had a scoop of ice cream in it, but I put a quarter teaspoon of this electrolyte powder stuff in there too. I should have a six pack by Friday. (Seriously, I'm gonna go buy a six pack tomorrow for Friday....)

‘THE ODYSSEY’ has officially opened with $264.1M worldwide. • Biggest opening for a live-action movie in 2026 so far • 2nd biggest opening ever for a Christopher Nolan film • 3rd biggest opening ever for an R-rated film

I saw a screening of The Odyssey today. I won't go into the film here/now, but I will say this: the people who are commenting based on things they saw in the trailer have no idea what they're talking about. I've pointed this out to a few of them... but it's pointless. They just keep on talking.

Which best describes the current economic system? A. Techno-Feudalism B. Quasi-Capitalism C. Scamenomics D. Corporate Socialism E. Media Mercantilism F. I'm Poor OK, everyone's going to say F, so give me your second choice.

Monthly reminder: Many people have a book in them, but it takes a special kind of freak to leave the Land of Laziness, cross the Plains of Procrastination and Insecurity Mountain, find the Blade of No One Made You Do This, and use it to cut your chest open and yank that book out.

The "you couldn't make it these days..." crowd love to cite Mel Brooks, particularly Blazing Saddles, as an example. To a certain extent, they're right. I mean, you couldn't make that movie these days because Mel Brooks is retired. I don't think anyone else could have made that movie, ever. 1/

Perfecting my homebrew "coffee liqueur" or whatever you Kahlua it. Equal parts cold brewed coffee, sugar & rum came out a little too sweet. Need to spike it with a bit more coffee and/or rum, I think. Espresso or an even stronger coffee might be good. I have brandy too... could give that a whirl.

Gal in front of me at the market today was also buying a bottle of white wine and snack mix. I briefly considered offering the almond clusters in my basket as a dowry, but ultimately decided I didn't want to share. #ThugLife

For some time, I've gotten as many or more spam calls and texts on my phone than actual calls/texts, which makes me wonder what the purpose of this device actually is. Is it a phone, or is it just another bullshit scam distraction device upchucked by the technot industry?
