"The [US] would have the IP required to reconstruct the semiconductor supply chain outside of Taiwan...This would take some time but is a surmountable challenge." 🙄Who will foot the bill? How long? Yet another wagon on the "Let's abandon Taiwan!" train... www.defensepriorities.org/explainers/a...

If you are using a public no-cost dataset for your article/report, please acknowledge that as your source. No way you collected it yourself from 6+ years of press releases. You used data my friends already painstakingly put into a public spreadsheet. The least you can do is give them credit!!!

More than 2 years ago, I accidentally gave the wrong directions to someone, as the sports court they were looking for had moved within the park. Every time I walk past there - like this afternoon - I cringe at the memory and worry about if they ever found it. Such a weird brain behavior thing…

Hm. Looks like the Air and Space Museum is having some XXX issues with their panoramas on the website... Hacked via the krpano Panorama Viewer, or is it the UVA Law School that's an issue? I won't be clicking to find out!

A screenshot from Feedly, showing a XXX headline being fed from the Air and Space Museum website via a panorama of the Northrop Grumman Wildcat. There are three such links, all of them to the same panorama. All the other articles are about Taiwan. It's from an RSS feed for articles containing the word "Taiwan" in Google News.

Another good pottery pickup day! A few bisque pieces and some finished glaze pieces- one I donated to the Ice Cream bowl fundraiser, but the others turned out well! I looooove this shark jug! Will see if I leave it as is or add fossil shark’s teeth glued to the mouth…

A blue robot and a small character bud vase. Face of my green shark’s jug - bugged out eyes and blackened teeth and all!Side of my green shark jug where you can see the back fin and the approximation of gillsAll the pieces I picked up today, except the bad one I donated to the fundraiser.

When I was an archaeologist, the two most annoying questions from the public were: ”What y’all digging for? Dinosaur bones?!” and ”What y’all digging for? Gold?!” We even had a bingo board printed up for data recovery projects, wish I still had one!

When we dig into the past 2 scientific professions often get confused: paleontology and archaeology Both involve excavation, research, and piecing together history from physical evidence However... Whats the Difference Between a Paleontologist and an Archaeologist🏺🧪 dino-world.com/whats-the-di...

Last pottery Open Studio for the summer - glaze only - today. I glazed many pieces, but at least two had not made it out of bisque yet… Also picked up a few finished pieces, happy with all! Not sure what to do now on Saturday’s for a month!!

I always have a problem with the interior surface, but it worked out this time!

This was my perspective on the TK with @districtofkatya.bsky.social last night. Was not a highlight for me somehow, so I had to record it from a replay via the NVIDIA overlay.... www.youtube.com/watch?v=HoF5...

@gemmy.bsky.social and I continue our reign of terror. This is kind of like the Overwatch equivalent of a Pippin to Jordan ally-oop slam dunk, if Pippin and Jordan played quick play Overwatch instead of comp because they are afraid of being judged. (In this example, I am the one who is scared)

Went to Ebisu Life Store in Seven Corners for the first time today. It was packed on a Friday night. All the fun Japanese toys, food, skincare, etc. stuff I’m used to seeing in night markets but in a well lit and well organized store (that used to be Joann Fabrics). Go visit!

The storefront of the Ebisu store in Seven Corners. It’s a well-lit and brightly colored store, with cool toys visible in the window. They have claw machines in the back, and toy dispensers!!

Asked ChatGPT who took a specific photo (me, popular on Flickr) of the Capitol. Got a stock photog name. Me: "Are you sure?" It apologized & gave me another name. Took 8 times before it said "It's one of the most photographed buildings in D.C., I don't know for this specific one." Ace tech there! 🙄
