Gillian Brockell@gillianbrockell.com · 6d agoThursday, July 30. Just a horrible day in ICE flights. At least 79 flights on 29 planes. At least 21 removal flights, of which at least 4 were likely third-country removals. ICE flights hit every continent except Australia and Antarctica in one day.
Google appears to be in an active race to destroy all remaining goodwill the company once had. They've almost entirely destroyed search and now they're screwing with Google Maps.

The Romans faced this scenario when the plebeians left the city and camped out on the marsh. Frightened, the ruling class that they made concessions & created a station so the plebs could have a voice in government. It works. And that’s why they don’t want anyone considering it nowadays.

Americans are relearning the lesson we learned during the Gilded Age of the late 1890s, when robber barons ran the government and the economy for their own benefit: Oligarchy is incompatible with the common good. I'm hopeful we'll respond with a new progressive movement.

Average statewide temp of 46.2° (NCEI data) made this our hottest January-June on record by more than a full degree. The impact of a warming climate is clear in the chart below. #COwx
Tired of folks acting like this is new and novel. Democratic socialism has existed in Scandinavian countries for a long time. Look at where they stand among western countries on things like happiness and quality of life.
The state of affairs. Falling apart. Torn down. Hidden. Lack of transparency. Rotten. And a little white trash to round it out.
