Anyone else find it odd that #MLB competition is said to be “dead” because the Dodgers are an all star team (that lost 4 straight games), but so many teams think they have a chance that the deadline trade market is weak. Smells like parity to me

“What do they grow in those fields, pa?” “Conservatives, son.”
Love drone footage of new builds in exurban Texas, gives me a very particular kind of dread to look at that is hard to replicate with other photos.
Is it wrong to yell at people who rush down my father in law’s Seattle street, which Google Maps has declared an arterial? And would anybody understand if I asked, “You never park yourself? Are you Bong Joon-Ho’s SNOWPIERCER?”
If the movie’s source code gets into the wild we could be inundated with decades more WWII thrillers
This is insane. www.hollywoodreporter.com/business/bus...
Holy dear lord, Watch Duty Need to unpack this symbology. Probably not fair to use it zoomed out this far.
Amend the constitution so that real estate developers can no longer serve as president
Trump: "The last major airport built in the US was Denver in 1995. It hasn't gotten very great reviews. So we're doing something with Dulles that's gonna make it I think maybe the top anywhere in the world. By the way, Palm Beach is gonna be one of the top too."
Unless they have logos, in which case it’s ok. Expect more logos, sadly

This is a fun piece where every side makes good points. And I’m old enough to remember the IMAX vs VHS wars

Daily Telegraph: In coordination with Iran, the Yemeni Houthis are preparing to close the Bab el-Mandeb strait connecting the Red Sea and Indian Ocean. The consequences of this to shipping traffic would be severe.

i’m more concerned for my family but you have to wonder about the World Cup final in NY area when the smoke is like this
Real talk: I am especially sad to learn so much about Sam Neill because my formative impressions of him came from: The last Omen sequel where as Damien he becomes Evil President; Reilly: Ace of Spies, where he’s a Ridley-like infiltrator; He was always a bit creepy to me! Wrong!
“I will make you HRT”—Amazing scene and and great reporting on Menopunkapalooza. Must-read for Gen XX and their allXYs
I had a blast in Portland, Ore., with some incredible women, covering Menopunkapalooza. I learned a lot, laughed a ton, and got to listen to a lot of great music. Please read and share www.theguardian.com/music/2026/j...
Can James Talararico also run for and serve as acting senator from Maine like Marco does
Also, sodastream is great for your thirst but what does it do for your pants and your kitchen furniture? That’s where drinkmate comes in handy
This is the Drinkmate. It's basically what if SodaStream wasn't evil, and also could carbonate anything.
I want a Spotify for sports where I can watch seasons and seasons of past games. I suspect the idea terrifies the leagues and the espnoverse though. And no angle for the betting houses
June 16, 1999: Tim Duncan finishes with 33 PTS (13-21 FG)/16 REB in an 89-77 Spurs win over the Knicks in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. San Antonio’s Jaren Jackson added 17 PTS and David Robinson had 13 PTS/9 REB/7 AST. New York’s Latrell Sprewell and Allan Houston each had 19 PTS.
Magnificent and fascinating work - both the science and the presentation

I know there is a lot going on, and not all of this is new, but numerous aspects of this OMB proposal are highly alarming and would, if enacted, effectively force American scientists receiving federal funding (which is...most of them in some capacity or another) to stop engaging with the public.
