Throwback! This was a long time ago but I loved the way this sketch came out.
One of my major loves in art are the mummy portraits from antiquity. Not only do you get to see art processes used over 1500 years ago, you get to glimpse the faces of people just like us across huge stretches of time. They’re incredibly moving.
This week is Two Years Sometimes I wonder if it ever gets easier, but I know the answer is a very definitive "Kind Of." I still remember all the worst things and they ring in my ears like shadowy spectres. But I'm lucky they're just shadows now.

Back to Sneek Peek of the Week after a holiday break! I've had trouble sleeping lately, don't worry I haven't fallen asleep at work! But boy, I'd be lying if I said it wasn't an intrusive thought. Acrylic markers on a canvas panel.
Tried using my tablet again, and bad news: I have some things to troubleshoot. It's not registering pressure sensitivity! I'm not sure what the issue is, but I needed a Sneek Peek of the Week! Mizora from Baldur's Gate 3. Heavily referenced re: pose & details, but the facial expression was mine.
