Dug up these photos: roasting yellow ochre to redden it, before and after. A geological process that can be recreated in a pan. (Red ochre is essentially dehydrated yellow ochre.)

Trying gem/stone engraving. I’m just getting the base of Heracles and the Cretan Bull blocked in. It’ll take a bit to get the seal fully cut out/polished, but I’m definitely learning a lot.
