If you went back to 2012 and told a bunch of liberals that this guy would be a major influencer in the party, they would have said you were totally batshit, yet here we are, and it really explains why people see this right wing lunacy as "moderate" now.

GOP Rep. Joe Walsh: Obama Is Dumb And a “Tyrant” for Stopping Deportations

The tea party-backed freshman congressman hits the president on immigration.

Now that we can talk about Oshi No Ko with nuance I will say that it was a brilliantly written series for most of it witn amazing characters such as Ai who remain one of my all time favorites It is only held back but being rushed and a final arc that slipped on its villain 1/2

Back up your files. Download Balena etcher and a Linux distribution of your choice. Installation takes twenty minutes. Put your files back on, her the open source software you need to run it. They can never touch *your* computer again, if you don't let them.

Consider yourself warned: Microsoft is about to supercharge Copilot: “Copilot is evolving rapidly from chat to Cowork to autopilots...one super app spanning both consumer and commercial experience." Via Gizmodo

🧵 My Linux history starts with Ubuntu 8.04 that was installed on a school computer which got me interested in Linux. In 2010 in high school I got a 10.04 DVD for a old laptop I played around with while Windows 7 was my main. 2014 or so I tried Arch and kept it on my laptop

My biggest piece of advice to people switching to Linux is do some research before picking your first distro and learn the ins and outs of the distro. Distro hopping can be fun but hopping at the first hurdle on your distro means you'll never learn the distro and lead you into a vicious cycle.

Linux has (mostly) caught up to Windows in terms of usability and stuff. This should terrify Microsoft because the more user friendly and intercompatible Linux becomes, the harder it will become to justify forcing $120 of licensing fees and Windows specific hardware onto users per machine.

Linus has never changed his opinion on AI, he has said time and time again that AI is a developer tool that has great potential while telling developers they are responsible for their own code and has been against slop coding. And Microsoft has been on the Linux Foundation since 2016.

Reminder that Linus’ position on AI changing is almost definitely because the Linux Foundation is de facto owned by its “competitors,” incl Microsoft etc, all of whom have decided to bet the farm on a pivot to AI

This, The Wall review by Doug Walker, and that "reviewing every anime ever" are the holy trinity of awful media analysis At least The Wall review had good production values. The anime video had that Chobits take which triggered me This obsession review was just bad something else tho

Alex Meyers has blown up the internet with his controversial review of Obsession. Here's why it may be the worst internet review since Doug Walker's Wall review.

The two biggest problems with AI in open source is first off allowing people with little to no programming experience to infest projects with slop code And second that it is a walking license dispute waiting to happen in particular to the GPL, GPL 4.0 must address this

First off saying Linus is endorsing right wing politics is one of the most idiotic things ive seen said on this website. Second Linus has been vocal against vibe coding, AI in software development is a tool, I have my own various concerns about it but in specific use cases its fine

AI generated thumbnail automatically makes the opinion of the video invalid. And every Arch user knows there's a elevated risk of a AUR package being more vulnerable, but even then it remains far safer than Windows. The kernel is not "falling apart"

I’m done being vague about this due to recent events. Noahdivergence is a danger to the neurodivergent and disabled community and minors and should not have a platform. Im appalled by the way he’s manipulated and treated people so Im sharing just a few of the many things he’s done in this thread.🧵

TabbyBat@tabbybat.bsky.social · 3w ago

When a content creator does awful things and just tries to sweep it all under the rug by switching platforms and soft rebranding 🙄 Is it that hard to just make content, be kind and genuine and not be a pos? So tired of people turning out to be a wolf in sheep’s clothing 💀

Interesting that Noahdivergence / OtterlyNoah would repost this one very recently after the current controversies. What he fails to mention is that he repeatedly takes advantage of his parasocial fans. He extorted and manipulated one of them, and attempted to DM a minor who blocked him.

Tell me what war crimes would not be happening if Kamala was president? Kamala during her campaign made it clear she would not take action against Israel and Trump attacked Iran because the Israeli government told him too Just like they told Biden and every other Democrat president

This isn’t at all what I said. The suspicious activity is talking about the two parties as though they’re both equally bad when the republicans are letting Trump commit war crimes and attack US citizens with their own military just for criticizing and/or protesting him, and Obama wore a beige suit.
