I don't even know what to say. This is real, this is true, so, like, thank you all, from the bottom of my heart. This took over 25 years to happen so if there's any lesson here it's either "keep at it, who knows" or "many people are divorced"
I'm likely attending Gen Con next year, work permitting. The two areas I wish I could have explored were Games on Demand and the BGG Hot Games room. Next year: no escape room, no Starship Horizons, no True Dungeon. I don't regret doing them this year, but now I know where my tastes lie.
Sad to hear of the death of Emperor Palpatine. He was larger-than-life, always outspoken and secretly very kind in private.

Leaving Indy soon, but you can still buy The Networks, Wordsy, and High Rise from AllPlay's booth or room while the con is still open!
I can't say enough how ridiculous (complimentary) my Gen Con experience wax. I had a blast. It's incredible to see so many nerd subcultures intertwine so deeply.
I want to clarify that this is not the same dog as yesterday's lightsaber Jedi dog
Today, I got driven to Gen Con by a dog!
I didn't get a chance to write about True Dungeon at Gen Con. It was a cool experience that I think everyone should try at least once. It's one of the show's more expensive tickets (close to $100), but the effort, logistics, and tech involved are remarkable. 🧵
Starship Horizons is the biggest disappointment of the weekend so far for me. Set was very nice, but software was so buggy, we effectively paid $76 a ticket to playtest. Long stretches of just sitting around because bugs kept our ship from moving faster than a crawl. Play Artemis instead. It works.
Seen at Gen Con: a robed dog carrying a lightsaber in their mouth, walking at a fast trot. A costumed woman behind them shouts, "No, not that way!" The dog halts, looks back at her, then walks alongside her into the correct room.
Amazing first day of Gen Con. 2 kickass playtests, some Artemis, catching up with so many dear friends. Can't wait for tomorrow!

I somehow missed this review of The Networks back in January. So proud of how far this little game has gone, and the journey it's taken me on! pixeldie.com/2026/01/14/t...

I'm told that people who demo The Networks at @allplay.bsky.social in Gen Con room 140 are smart and attractive and witty and smell very pleasant
she's been staring at the ceiling like this for like 5 minutes, she's dangerously close to forming thoughts, someone send help she doesn't deserve to suffer under the yoke of knowledge
