"Ya gotta Believe!" OK. I believe the #Mets will finish dead last. Not just in the NL East, but in all of MLB. I believe we will finish in the same spot NEXT year. Why? Because our 'president of BB ops' is a drooling idiot who thinks baseball is played with a bloody spreadsheet.

Clay Holmes eventually won me over as a starting pitcher who could be counted on in important games. Tyrone Taylor started the #Mets epic comeback rally in the famous 2024 Game 161 win in Atlanta. Good luck to both of them with the Cubbies.

This is one potential #Mets move I absolutely disagree with. If we have any intention of being competitive next year, he's a guy we need to keep. Can't see the Bucs overwhelming us with a return we can't refuse.

Gotta love Boy Blunder's Dumpster-diving fetish. Chayce McDermott, who #Mets just got from the Dodgers for Ben Rortvedt? He was recently DFA'd. Last year for Baltimore? A 15.58 ERA in 8 games, with 12 BB and 15 ER in 8.2 IP. How would he help at ANY level? Why not just take 💰 for Rortvedt?

It had to happen. #Mets trading one of the season's few bright spots. It's a necessary evil brought about by horrendous roster mismanagement. Big thanks to Huascar Brazobán for his efforts as in orange and blue and best of luck to him with the #WhiteSox.

How painfully ironic for #Mets today: The pitcher we should've moved heaven and Earth all along to get, Sandy Alcantara, shuts us out in his outing, while we just traded away Freddy Peralta, the guy we acquired last winter who failed to do what Alcantara has done so well this year.🤦🏿

So I had brunch with my pilot friend, but as it turned out, he was too busy to fly to Queens to pick up Four-and-Two-Thirds Freddy and fly him to Tampa to -- thankfully -- join his new team. I don't enjoy laughing at players on my own team, but Jorge Polanco...Dude. He's seriously batting .132 now?!

What kind of Mickey Mouse front office does this to its Minor Leaguers, jerking them up and down as if they're yo-yos, and plans so poorly for maintaining a Major League pitching staff? As of late July, #Mets have used 30+ different pitchers, closing in on the MLB record 46 #Mets used in '25.

For those of you too young to remember them, the #Mets '86 home "racing stripes" unis the players are wearing today were first introduced in '83 and patterned after those of the division rival Phillies and Expos (now the Nationals). I'm probably biased, but I thought they were MLB's nicest.

So #Mets fans, unless some (crazy) team out there is prepared to overwhelm us with a trade package for (stifle your laughter) Freddy Peralta, we're stuck with him for -- as Phil Collins once sang -- one more night, tomorrow's outing.

Would someone please explain to me why the #Mets insist on wearing the road blue jerseys at home? How silly is it to be at home and wear a jersey with the geographical name on it? Sorry, fellow Knicks fans, but people in the crowd might not know where their own team is from?

WTF are #Mets doing, partnering with a "predictive service"? Boy Blunder aka David Stearns hasn't already put our club in enough disrepair? 🙄 Baseball is NOT Philip K. Dick's sci-fi novel, "The Minority Report." Can we PLEASE dump analytics? Baseball is played on GRASS, not paper!🤦🏿
