Joel Sherman tweeted that the Mets will take on $2 million of Luke Weaver's contract this year and $6 million of it next year.

Now here's a move I actually like...kinda. I've read very good things about Jefferson Rojas. We'll see in time if Boy Blunder proves us #Mets fans wrong on this trade.

I wondered last night when they pinch hit for Baty if that meant he was being traded, but no sign of it. Theoretically, the longer they wait to make any moves, the higher the price goes as bidding intensifies…but deadline selloffs don’t often result in much no matter who’s in charge.

Can #Mets just please get on with the fire sale? All this stupid gamesmanship among and self-gratifying measuring contests between egocentric baseball executives is really irritating. Plus, do you REALLY trust Boy Blunder to get it right, after last year's deadline's and last winter's debacles?
