Openly hostile to science and the educated, the American political right has created a disinformation ecosystem that absorbs people into its blob worldview. What do I mean by blob? Much of what the right believes today is contradictory. But the particulars do not matter. The belief is what matters.
The diarrhea lettuce company, Taylor Farms, uses slave labor contracted from the Arizona Dept. of Corrections. The backbreaking labor is often performed by imprisoned Mexican nationals who would be otherwise ineligble to work in the US. They are paid $1.50 an hour.
