We gotta stop calling winning consecutive tournaments the x-peat It's not a threepeat to win three events in a row! It's a threepeat if you win the same event three years in a row!!

a lot of Smashers seem to think that any money in the scene is good, and any criticism is biting the hand that feeds you But if it's a dismissive, condescending hand with a wanton disregard for the good of the community, only looking out for their own self-interest? my advice: Bite away!

why does it seem like good broadcasting and good seeding are becoming lost arts in Melee? It feels as though this year we've taken steps back in both areas despite being so good at them for so long
i have come to the realization that this is just me and melee stats danny
huge crashout potential for me this week between the Sixers possibly losing their pick and my *0th birthday stay tuned to see if I lose my mind!
big ups to Arcade Fire, Kanye West and Ariel Pink for makin sure that their creative decline coincided with the revelation of how they're horrible people would be a bit of predicament if any one of them released a halfway good album recently, but luckily for us that's not the case
playoffs are interesting when your team isn't in them, i have the most convoluted motivations for teams I'm cheering for (I hate the Celtics more, but more success will add marginal annoyance to my life. Knicks doing well will add much more annoyance, so we're begrudgingly rooting for Boston)
Mina would you ever appear as a pundit on the Super Smash Bros Melee talk show @foursidefights.bsky.social I think you would find the format…familiar….

this trade feels like one of those things that happens in a dream, and then you wake up believing it, only to feel stupid ten minutes later for ever believing it but it's real! most insane trade in my lifetime
Eagles in the Super Bowl, won trivia last night, rankings came out amazingly, got a new Tetris PB, ate some great Mexican food, lost some weight, found some $1 CDs at a thrift store, watched a lot of Simpsons, once again the Eagles are in the Super Bowl great week, honestly
Also, what a year! If 2024 felt unique, it's because it was This year we saw some amazing storylines and I wanted to shout out some fun facts that we came across when making the list

Woo!! It's no surprise to anyone close to us, but this year's Top 100 wasn't always guaranteed. A lot of questions surrounded this year's release but because of the wonderful team we have, I'm proud to bring another Top 100 to this wonderful community

i cannot believe it It felt like David Lynch would outlive us all, and in a way he probably will. One of the great American artists, one who would imbue every piece of work with so much personality, so much humanity, so much wonder and confusion and most importantly, so much of himself
If you think about it, I'm a bit like Melee's Santa Claus Instead of presents, I bring the top 100. And instead of elves, I have panelists. Mrs. Claus you say? Well, look no further than Melee Stats Danny
With the year coming to a close, here are my top 10 albums from 2024! My list changed so much throughout the year and it was so hard to narrow it down to just ten albums in what ended up being a great year for music, so I included 15 extra albums I loved this year in the post below
Are there goated wireless ear buds for Android or is it just a "buy airpods and just accept that they won't have all the features" angle
