Just nearly collided with Harvey Guillén on the street, so that was cool.

Can somebody hurry up and invent teleportation so I can stop getting up at batshit hours to get ready for flights from my podunk airport to reasonable places?
If I had a nickel for every time I had a hard drive fail within a week of having a work trip out of town, I'd probably be able to buy a pack of gum. Which isn't much, but it's weird that it keeps happening.
PKI never stops being a pain in the ass, does it? I swear, if somebody actually solves PKI in a way that doesn't suck and is profitable to sell, they'll be rich. There has to be a better way.
Me: <high-level description of technical issue aimed at summarization> Fresh Grad: "I understood about 50% of those words." I legit want to help this kid get to 100% of them. Teaching people the deep magic is so fun.
My wife, who had never played a Resident Evil game before a couple months ago and has now binged the series, is absolutely incandescent with rage about the new movie being called an adaptation of Resident Evil 2 by the director. And it is delightful.
I've been too old for this shit since I was like 20. Danny Glover was soft and weak.
Danny Glover was 40 years old when he filmed Lethal Weapon. The same film in which he says, “I’m too old for this shit.” 40.
Getting featured by name on rotten.com back in 2004, when the site was a big deal on the internet. Which happened because of me getting quoted in an article carried globally by the associated press.
Okay, my QUESTION OF THE DAY is… What is your weirdest actual accomplishment? Not the biggest necessarily…but the weirdest?
Imagine posting this in a world where The Protomen exist and have released the 3rd part of a rock opera that has been ongoing for 21 years.
I will not stand for progressive rock being ignored like this
Pretty sure mine was See No Evil, Hear No Evil. Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor were very funny men and that movie was wildly inappropriate for me at... 8 years old, I think.
Do you remember what *your* first R-rated movie was? I finally asked my mom (I couldn't remember), and she told me it was The Lost Boys when I was roughly the same age as my daughter (about 9). The movie traumatized her more than it did me, apparently
I know mechanical optimization in a TTRPG isn't necessarily the right or best way to play, certainly not for every table, but damn can it be fun to work through the puzzle.
If you can't be bothered to write your own words to ask me a question, and have an LLM do it instead, please don't speak to me at all. If I actually respond, and you just drop an emoji rather than speaking, you are bad and you should feel bad.
Deadjournal. Because heaven forbid that teenage me be mainstream.
Verify your age. Livejournal.

It's a little uncouth to admit, but I may have had a touch too much to drink at the tiki bar tonight.
Ah yes, my time honored tradition of spending the last few hours of my last night before a work trip trying to shove music and movies onto my phone rather than doing anything interesting with the night.
Can't decide if me having 3 max level characters in the current Diablo 4 season is a sign that I'm having a good time or a bad time. The loot changes and balance this season are frustrating, and yet I'm branching out and playing different classes from normal, and seemingly having fun.
KEEP YOUR HANDS ON THE WHEEL, How's My Driving? has been nominated for a 2026 ENNIE AWARD 😱🚐

Realized earlier that I'm finally back under the weight I was at when a shitty roommate moved in with us over 10 years ago and fucked up my mental health so badly that I stopped taking care of myself. I'll take that victory.
I’m making a resource page about digital archives that goes from “I’m just curious” to “I wanna start archiving for fun” to “I’m lost in the sauce and willing to read standards” Do y’all have topics or questions you’d like to see me cover? #digitalarchives #digitalpreservation #DH
Honestly, this is a really cool little game. And the rewards and goal are reasonable. This looks like a project that will actually ship, and it'd be cool as hell to have on a shelf.
Go back HOW'S MY DRIVING? on Kickstarter!
The Protomen - Act II: The Father of Death Just an incredible album. One amazing song after another, a few gutwrenching moments, beautiful storytelling. It's wonderful.
Name your fav album to hear start to finish, no skips.
Reminder that this was fucking spectacular and left us on a cliffhanger that clearly is pointing at it being a trilogy.
morning reminder that this happened
My dad: Alive (unfortunately), and bad dad. Me (also a dad): Also alive, and I'd like to think I'm a good dad given that my kid wished me a happy father's day. Sure as shit better than my own dad, at least.
Dad roll call: please state if your dad is alive, dead, a good dad or a bad dad, or if you yourself are a dad
I gotta say, while I enjoyed Alan Wake's story (and the ongoing threads through Control), I did not expect Alan Wake 2 to go so hard. I'm not that far in, but it's shocking to me how little I've heard people talking about it.
