Will happily answer any questions about robots ships or TTRPGs but then I get to ask you questions about what you're into in return.

What I hate about asking AI questions is that the answers are as helpful as searching the Internet for information*used to be*. But finding useful stuff on the internet has gotten so much worse, in part because it's full of bad AI articles!

Sorry chatbot lovers but the waning of Boolean operators in most search functions on websites has made my life actively worse. You can't find anything, you can only have things suggested to you.

Me, 2010: I wonder what the future holds for computers... Me, 2026: If I miss-type the name of my CAD software in the start menu a browser I don't like will appear to show results from a search engine I don't use of an artist I don't listen to.

I think I will use the internet to experience some of the most profound art ever created, wait hold up, this one got me laughin again

A screenshot from Mobile Suit Gundam (Tomino, 1979). A woman looks intently at a screen on the wall, her hand reaching out towards an attached button. On the screen, a man is shown sitting in a chair. The caption reads:
-microwave me for 2 minutes
-yes, sir

In the interest of self-preservation I need to start reiterating: my current contract with KO_OP ends late Nov, and I'm looking for my next gig! I'm a game/narrative designer, writer, & generalist with lots of implementation experience in Unity, some in Unreal, knowledge of C#, Python, and more.

Of all the online services and portals I've been interacting with the for 15 years, the only ones that have not gotten dramatically worse are Steam, Wikipedia, and Giant in the Playground. They are also the only ones that don't have to answer to shareholders.

tried to start a commune on myst island but fell apart over basic things like taking out garbage, doing dishes, who resets the puzzles at night, which brother to give the pages to, who gets to sleep in the spaceship, etc
