Okay, I have been troubleshooting an issue all day, and I feel like I'm going insane, so I need to ask: Is anyone on Windows, as of today, having an issue with their Ethernet connection dropping temporarily or disconnecting entirely when they attempt a high-bandwidth transfer? (Like to a NAS?)
Every Windows install is like a Mr. Meeseeks: A fresh install will initially work fine but over time the problems start to become more frequent and insane until eventually Windows just decides it's Time To Die and will either stop working entirely, or otherwise force you to do a reinstall.
I need the people who post in Microsoft forums to understand that running DISM and "sfc /scannow" is not a catch-all solution to every problem that people post about. Furthermore, in my close to three decades on this Earth, those commands have not resolved anything a single goddamn time.

It's a fun sight when a Steam game adds achievements for stats it was already tracking, causing a bunch of people to earn nearly all the same achievements at the same time.
Dave Franco says he is proud that his character Raww in ‘FORGOTTEN ISLAND’ is already beloved by furries. “They are sexualizing this character in a way I did not expect… I’ve never been lusted after harder than when I played a weredog!”
I recently whipped out my old phone which still has Twitter installed, and was never updated after the X rebrand. Surprisingly, it is still logged in, and still seems to function perfectly fine. I don't go there anymore, just never got around to deleting the account.
No, I don't want you to "Remind me later", I do not want to "Skip for now", I want you to fuck off and never ask me again.
I went to the 69th Linux meetup on @resonite.com. It was nice, except for the fact that I'm not using Arch yet and was bringing the ratio down. #Resonite #socialVR
I consider myself a data hoarder but I'm also kinda bad at it. Started cleaning up my NAS and while this seems like a significant improvement, I know the bulk of the work is going to be in the finer details.
I present to you: Two and a half minutes of @frooxius.bsky.social being bombarded with virtual confetti celebrating Twitch gift subs, and gradually losing brain cells each time. From yesterday's Resonance stream at twitch.tv/resoniteapp.
"Hmm, this decade-old server motherboard is acting up, maybe it's time to replace it." *remembers that upgrading the motherboard would also require purchasing a new CPU and, crucially, RAM* "On second thought I think I'll just deal with the issues for now."
Played the "enhanced" version of GTA V (story mode) for the first time tonight. It has dogs, which I didn't think it had previously (unless I'm misremembering). I stood by one and it looked at me affectionately before biting me to the ground and killing me.
Searching my entire disk for "Cache_Data", "CacheStorage", and "ScriptCache" folders and nuking them unconditionally is becoming an increasingly effective way of freeing up disk space, since every app is just a mini Chromium browser now.
