As summer temperatures rise in the northern hemisphere & mosquitoes with them, the age old question arises: "Why do mosquitoes bite some people more than others?" 🔍 🦟 This article on #BBC Future discusses current knowledge, with comments from Prof Steven Lindsay & I www.bbc.co.uk/future/artic...

My experience includes mosquito ecology, arbovirology, vector competence, insecticide resistance, vector control, and BSL-2/3 infection experiments. I’m also eager to expand into vector bionomics, One Health, emerging/zoonotic pathogens, molecular ecology, and genomics.

🦟🧪Looking to hire an exceptional post doc or know of any entry level academic positions in vector work? My former Ph.D. student, Limarie, is on the look out. She's got a ton of vector biology and vector ecology experience, she's an exceptional writer, and all around great person. Please share.
