Here’s the translation: Trump says Meloni « begged to take a photo » with him at the G7. Meloni, to save her dignity, responds that it’s not true. I feel pity for all these conservative politicians who truly believed Trump was the leader of a Sovereignist International that will never exist

Italy’s Meloni fires back after Trump says she ‘begged’ him for a photo

The president’s attack contradicts the prime minister’s recent insistence that their relationship is as good as ever.

Je crois que j'ai l'ai déjà mentionné ici, mais je vais le refaire quand même : le secteur social associatif est en train de s'effondrer, et ça devrait vous inquiéter autant que l'effondrement de l'hôpital public.

US cultural hegemony in Europe is also visible in the contrast between the massive demonstrations after the murder of George Floyd and the silence that is following the terrifying lynching of Bakari Sako, a Malian farm laborer, in southern Italy

Ora e sempre Slava Ukraini! 💙💛🇪🇺

Did you know? Italy may be the only country where the day commemorating liberation from Nazifascism (April 25th) is considered divisive. Senior members of the current government do not attend it. Why do you think that is?

Non-EU students in France pay in theory 10x more for university. Since some schools waive these fees and others don’t, students are fleeing universities like mine for cheaper options. Beyond the obvious ethical mess, what’s the actual "win" in making students run away @unistra.fr ?

Many criticisms can be made of Italians, but they retain an almost sacred respect for the Constitution born of the struggle against fascism. Anyone who tries to tamper with it loses. This is the lesson of the referendum on judicial reform that the far-right government tried to push through.

A week has now passed since the Israeli-American attack on Iran, and the Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, has still not appeared. She has gone into hiding without uttering a word. It must be difficult for her to choose between the good of her own country and subservience to Trump.

The French magistrate Magali Lafourcade was approached by two emissaries of the U.S. government in search of “elements that could lend credibility to a theory that might serve as a basis for disinformation or for manipulating the French public debate” regarding the trial involving Marine Le Pen.

Italy has always been one of the most servile European countries when it comes to the United States. Things certainly won’t change now that Meloni’s far-right government sees in Trump the ultimate legitimation of its xenophobic and anti-democratic tendencies.

Italian Prime Minister Meloni reaction to the growing US threat: “Should we close American military bases? Or cut trade relations? Should we storm McDonalds? I don't know what we should do?”

I live in France. Drug prices have not changed, let alone doubled as Trump claims. It is interesting to see that, this time, the French government has not even responded to the offensive statements of the American president, who is being treated as an unbalanced person in the midst of a delusion.
