Forever excited about art. Husband / dad / designer / photo taker / music maker / bicycle rider / baseball watcher. He/him

The Odyssey was truly great, and definitely requires ear protection. Thanks to all who advised bringing plugs (I have mine with me at all times) - random SPL checks showed it hitting 104db - as loud as the last couple of Sugar shows I saw 😵‍💫

Well shit y'all, I’m launching a podcast! 🎙️ I've been fighting in the legislature, speaking out, & standing up—now let’s talk about where we are and where we go from here. The first episode is dropping soon, so don’t miss it! 🔗Sign up for early access at standingtallpod.com (link in bio)

Just tried listening to the Atmos version of "another green world," in the headphones, barely lasted two songs. I'll only be able to do that with something I haven't heard before (or haven't heard 500 times) otherwise it just feels disrespectful to the original mix and my brain's familiarity with it

All this McConnell talk got us wanting to watch "Weekend at Bernie's" for the first time in forever. Made the kid watch it. Still holds up, mostly. Dead Bernie still much more entertaining than Mitch, live or dead

You hear a lot about people having “main character complex” but no one talks about “extra complex,” where you don’t expect anyone to remember your name and never feel like you belong in whatever group you’re in, however unwarranted. Because lemme tell you, it’s a thing

We saw a performance of Music for 18 Musicians tonight, and I can’t overstate how happy I get when, midway through, the maraca comes out. Both times I’ve seen it performed, everyone on stage started smiling at that moment. It’s the damnedest thing.

Superdrag, in full volume form. The guys who made me want to get a Jazzmaster. The guy who shows me how to hit the drums w/ power and vibe in equal measure. A hilarious wild animal on bass. 30 years later, I’ve ended up feeling like a part of a family. So much loud sweaty joy in the room last night.
