She purred all the way up to the very end. Sweet travels Luna Tuna. To me, you were an angel on earth. I will never be the same. May you soak up the sunshine, roll in the flowers, and chase the butterflies to your hearts content.

My anxiety has come back full force and I haven't slept in days. This is Luna, my best friend of the last 17 years and tomorrow we have to say goodbye. I dont know what I'm going to do. I feel like someone's just told me they have to amputate my leg. I'll survive, but I'll never be whole again.

My beautiful girl Luna sitting in a flower box and surrounded by blossoming poppies. She is alert and happy. The evening sun shines on her face.

A drawing of two goblins in an old west style saloon. The male is flexing at the female who is writing in her journal. She is unimpressed.A large coyote with spirit like qualities in front of a depiction of a south western desert. There is a saguaro cactus, mesas from monument valley, and rebutia cactus with flowers. A mandala fills up the center in the background with a mesoamerican vibe.A fantasy book cover (sans text and title) of three young people walking out of a dark and gloomy forest toward a brightly lit castle. Their faces are hopeful but there is an air of foreboding to the image. The girl in the front has a green afro and gold eyes with pale skin. The boy in the middle has white curly hair, dark, star like skin, and long elf ears. The boy in the back looks American indigenous.A painting by Goblin Biscuits of Brigid, celtic goddess of inspiration, healing, and smithcraft. She faces the left and lays her hand upon a border of celtic knots with a green cloak laid atop her head and shoulders. It is night time and behind her are peaceful mountains. There is a small image in each corner of the canvas. 1). A poppy 2). A shamrock 3). A Dragonfly 4). A Broken heart.

Where do I begin? This piece is deeply personal to me. My mother was an artist. She made this painting of Brigid when I was very young. It hung in my childhood home the entire time I was under my parents roof. (I’ve included her original painting posted in the comments below). The anniversary of her passing will be this St. Patrick’s day and so I sought to reconnect with her in some way and heal the wounds she left behind. Our relationship was one of friendship, sweetness, love, toxicity, codependency, and resentment. I loved her and I hated her.

I wanted to reimagine this painting but with her in place of the goddess. On her face is the kindness and contentment I remember in her on her best days. The symbols in the corners represent things she loved or moments of joy and pain between us. My intent was never to outdo her as an artist but to connect with her and maybe find some closure. During the recreation I became very intimate with her process, her color choices, and brush strokes. It was like a private conversation in which she imparted to me the way in which she saw the world.

I’m surprised to say I miss you. I’m sorry things had to be the way they were. St. Patrick’s day will never be the same.

I've missed my boy and really wanted to draw him. I whipped up a quick sketch. Nothing special, new, or different. I'm just happy to see his face. This will be the last thing I draw for a while. My tablet seems to have died and I don't know when I'll be able to afford a new one. #GoblinBiscuits

A black and white portrait sketch of my OC Zak Ironside. This drawing depicts an image of a goblin in profile. He is facing the right and has long hair tied back in a tail, a cigar in his mouth, and a serious expression on his face.
