Harken and Tanaka followed as Isengrim gestured them forward, but I lingered a moment. I was reluctant to leave the pleasant warmth and fragrance of this place behind for the paperwork awaiting me. I gave the beautiful hydroponics hub a lingering look, then froze.

I jerked my head to the side, studying the trees as best I could in the gentle lighting. I could have sworn I saw the shadow of someone, someone humanoid, moving through the branches. Something far too large to be a normal animal. When I looked again, though, I saw nothing.
