i think this is probably one of the best entry points there is to sokoban style games because the difficulty is nothing crazy, the art and music slap and the structure is super open so if you get stuck you can just go do a different puzzle. it has some zelda vibes too
sometimes a video game is so good you just want to vigorously shake the hands of the people who made it. anyway i just rolled credits on Isles of Sea and Sky and its one of my favorite puzzle games ive ever played

I want to capture some of the essence of collecting Monster in My Pocket or Mighty Max from my childhood, and designing these cute lil freaks is capturing that vibe for me so far.

I have, with my own eyes, watched my tax dollars in the form of missiles as they hit buildings inhabited by civilians. I'd much prefer subsidizing a grocery story I don't use.

Game dev version: There is no version of your game that could satisfy the haters. Focus on the game you want to make, there is an unfathomable number of gamers who play games that they don't like, and it's not your job to fix them (you can't, nobody can create the game they want to play).

If you want a fine dirty martini, don't buy a dust covered bottle of dry vermouth from the thrift store, and although it may feel absolutely correct at the time, don't store it in the back window of your car. Choose a nicer low - mid price point vermouth from Italy and store it in the fridge.

Renaming the SciFi channel to SyFy is when the timeline split and we ended up on the darker fork.
It’s hard to explain but tv was better when you couldn’t watch the show you wanted whenever you wanted to watch it and most of the shows were worse and the TVs were worse and the entire experience was worse, that’s when it was better
