For any stray Wattpad users who are Normal About Themes, I have a total of eight Ao3 invite codes to share and will happily do so, but I'm only giving them to those who were negatively impacted by the Wattpad changes and need a place to keep posting, NOT for people who want censorship on Ao3 itself.

This shit is why you can't separate continuing to financially support the Harry Potter IP (whether by buying the games, merch, watching the new TV show when its out) from the consequences of what JK Rowling does with that money She's become so stiflingly powerful that even private docs arent safe

I've never seen such an effort to censor a document as I have the Amnesty International report on gender critical groups because of JK Rowling. They removed the report from the Wayback Machine and now I got a DMCA strike on my Google Drive for having it. It was deleted and removed from my account.

A screenshot of an email viewed in dark mode with the subject line "Google DMCA Violation." The email from Google informs the recipient that they have received a notification under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) that some of their materials allegedly infringe on copyrights. It explains the removal process, mentions that notice details will be posted on Lumen, warns against repeated violations, and lists one affected Google Drive URL at the bottom

Somehow, while AI generation has gotten more convincing in some aspects, food that was generated still looks disgusting. And it should be considered false advertising or misrepresentation when restaurants use it. I'd rather have a blurry picture of your food over that vomit.

Maybe I'm in the minority here but if people who support AI are being shamed into silence then it's working. The shame is working as intended. The left's biggest problem is that it's afraid to hurt the feelings of folks who need to have their feelings hurt. Let them experience introspection for once

As a former Indiana resident, I can tell you why no one is talking about the city of Gary going on 9 days with no power. The State of Indiana does not give AF about Gary. And not just the state government. Gary is one of the most disinvested cities in the country. It’s not an accident.

Well, as a surprise to no one #Cara has been scraped again!. Another crook taking what’s not there’s. The damage this is doing to the platform both physically and financially is huge. The #GenAI movement is an absolute curse.

Cara has been attacked by AI scrapers for a second time

So news has appeared today of someone cracking #Cara and scraping everything. 12 Million+ pieces of art stolen for the needs of criminals. How is this legal?, what are we meant to do as artists when even platforms built to champion us and keep us safe can be robbed?. #NoAI

Some AI slop merchant has robber Cara of everything

shoutout to writers who can't draw and therefore can't post a steady stream of artwork of their ocs, resulting in next to no one ever giving a fuck about them bc hardly anyone will take even five minutes out of their day to read about them. they'll look at oc artwork but won't ever read oc drabbles.

we love our ocs. we love them just as much as the people who draw theirs do. it would just be nice if people would at least pretend that they're just as good as the ones owned by people who draw them all the time, because y'all really love making our ocs feel unimportant bc they're not in art form.
