I hate to agree with #MLS Apple TV commentary, but they’re saying something I’ve been saying for awhile. At some point #VWFC going to need to play a 4-3-3. They did before Müller came.

Fell asleep last night, but finally caught up on the #VFC v #PFC game. PFC looked way better than the last time, and even controlled a large part of the game. While VFC seemed complacent most of the game. Campbell scoring a late equalizer got VFC a point they didn’t quite deserve. #CanPL

Reading comments of #VWFC fans freaking out about the run of form post World Cup is funny. Most of them were the same ones cheering on the sale of Berhalter for $1.625m in. What did we all honestly think would happen when we sold the double pivot who was likely to be an MVP finalist?

Exactly the move I’ve been advocating #VWFC make since Berhalter left. Sad to see him leave #VFC, but this is pretty ideal. Emerick is a very vocal, very skilled and very passionate double pivot, with great vision. Plays the box-to-box double pivot role very well. I know what kit I’m buying next

Emerick Fotsing as a Berhalter replacement is actually not a bad signing. Huge for VFC too. They now have the second and third highest transfers out in the CPL. Sad to seem him leave VFC, but going to #VWFC is the next best thing. Thanks CF Montreal.

I’ve been saying all year how much I like the ‘Daylight Offside’. I’ve pointed to it in big moments when goals were called back. Croatia anyone? #VFC are pushing the margins of the rules and today came out on the right side of it. It’s why I’m a fan of the rule. #CanPL

Finally in the home stretch on finalizing a new #CanPL update for Football Manger 26. I’ve got all the UI stuff working, and most of the rosters set. The fun work, and true beauty of #FM26 is what comes next. Filling the gaps and doing the player creation. So close I might be able to play soon.

Over the major #FM26 humps. Most of which were my own fault. I forgot why I ran for the exits on database work all those years ago. The short of the long though? I am stupid. Finally in the home stretch though.

I love that ‘Rein Me In’ quietly broke a 60 year old chart record, and has launched a debate about the death of monoculture. It’s the most Sam Fender thing ever. The controversy might push it into the Hot 100 and Sam Fender could have the first Rock number 1 since… Coldplay.

Huge kudos to the #CanMNT U20’s for a gutsy win against Jamaica. I sense a rivalry starting to form between the two squads. Great game to watch. Liam MacKenzie might just walk onto the #VWFC starting XI at this point.

Football Manager addiction is real. Spent the better part of the last week learning the mechanics of the backend. I’m pleased to say I should have a passable #CanPL update for #FM26 relatively soon. I know it’s end of cycle, but I should be able to keep up with FM27.

It’s always good to be reminded how bad BC Place truly is as a venue. Maybe if it weren’t staffed by the lowest bidders it would be better. Doubt it. #VWFC #LeaguesCup.

Somehow I managed to both modify an FM26 database, start a season, do all my chores and feed myself. I suppose I’d be further along if I cut two of those from my daily tasks…

#SoccerSaturday in Vancouver was a success! #VFC beat #ATO to secure 3rd place on the #CanPL table. The Ealges are soaring. The #CanMNT drew their final group game, and won their group. The #VWFC drew a game they should have won, but maintain their lead atop the #MLS Western Conference.

Atletico Ottawa always seems to bring the rain when they visit Vancouver. I’m slightly less upset about having to skip the #ATO v. #VFC match after heading outside. Will still be watching from the stands of BC Place.

Typical soccer fan right here. Using a single national team game as the basis for their opinions and not the previous 3 seasons of absolutely dominating club play. Sebba is a through and through 8 and only became more offensively minded after Müller showed up

Morris is the defensive mid, Berhalter showed against Turkey that he has many skills but being a defensive mid is not one of them.

It’s a beautiful Friday before a long weekend, and a soccer fuelled week here in Vancouver. 3 games tomorrow and 3 more before next Friday here in Vancouver. 5 of which are happening in Vancouver. #MLS, #LeaguesCup, #CPL, #CANMNT

The #MLS won’t be a serious league as long as homegrown talent leaves a team competing for every single trophy mid season. All for a team that “won” their Championship playoff game because of a guy in a bush. The flip won’t change this dynamic either.

Listen, I get it. I hate both of these assholes. But if this was the time of death, football has been on life support and was read its last rites a long time ago.

The moment World football died…

Really hard to watch the officiating in the #CANMNT U20 game. It’s clear both teams want to play a more physical game, but they aren’t being allowed. No real flow to this one.

With 4 games currently on @onesoccer.bsky.social between CPL, CONCACAF U20’s and Central America Cup the questions have to be asked… Who seriously cares about the #MLS All Star thingy? And why aren’t more Canadian soccer fans happy at the value of OneSoccer?

Tate Johnson’s current trajectory shows that what Whitecaps fans have seen over the last year isn’t a mirage. Johnson should be knocking at the door in 2030. I don’t think he will be in the MLS much longer either.

The #MLS and #VWFC won’t be outshone though. Whitecaps Homegrown talent Liam MacKenzie drills one home from the spot. Brining the #CANMNT U20’s out into a commanding lead early. Vancouver and Montreal proving how important they both are to the future of the national team in the first 15 minutes.

#CanPL and #VFC star Emerick Fotsing netting the early first goal for the #CANMNT U20’s is amazing. Exciting that the CPL is represented so well, so early. Jesse also gave him the armband. Good choice on his part.

#VFC are going to spend the week sitting in a playoff position. After a gutsy, whole team win against #Cavalry its well deserved. Huge battle for Nash and his squad heading into next weekend. VFC can solidify 3rd place against #Athletico. Soccer Saturday is shaping up to be a fun day. #CanPL.
