Wandering around #Melbourne today. Apparently the friendliest capital in the world, according to some poll.

Yes, this is true - the 2P rules were made by the developer as an errata after they printed the boxes. The North Pac reprint had so many weird decisions - like marketing a 5 minute filler as an hour long dry Train Game - & I was kept out of the loop during essentially the whole process.
I think I remember hearing this happen with Amabel Holland's game, Northern Pacific, but she didn't make up the 2 player rules, it was someone else at Rio Grande who never took credit because they were rough lol
Great fun at TTGDA meet-up yesterday! Got t play a couple of unpublished games and contributed some ideas. It's nice to feel useful. I'll be testing my own game at #PAXAus on Sunday. Please feel free to hunt me down. #BoardGames #GameDev #TabletopGames
Many of my early designs were playtested on a very small table that kept getting groceries pushed onto it, in a house with three cats ergo: most of my games had a small footprint and played in an hour or less
How big do board game designers think tables are? Have they seen tables?

Hmm I’d probably pronounce Vh-Uee as “Vee-Yoo” but I feel like I’m probably wrong. What inspired you to come up with that name though?
Vh Uee is definitely giving mysterious fantasy character I’d probably pronounce it vuh ee but I’m curious if you have a specific pronunciation in mind as for the silliest name I’ve used I feel like I’ve come up with some ridiculous ones when brainstorming characters what inspired Vh Uee?

Random career tidbits: I have two out-of-print published games (won't say which) that went from initial concept meeting to "files to the printer" in less than a week. Quarriors was turned down by 5 publishers before Wizkids took it. I've still designed more TCG content than any other type of game
