I'm currently reading Ovid's Metamorphosis. I'm going slow paced, but man, Old Testament Yahweh is a hippie pacifist in comparison to these Greek gods. I can't turn two pages withoutyet another passionate crime of the worst kind. Greek gods had no love for humankind whatsoever.

My 2 cents: I was somewhat successful 2020-2024 because of 1) US dollar/Brazilian real currency exchange 2) pandemic unusual e-commerce behavior I've earned a lot of money doing graphic design for other authors and publishing my own 2 games. Still, I don't believe in the TTRPG industry. 1/2

There a moment some indie designers have, pretty early, when you go "I put in the work, I should be getting back money, that's the deal, isn't it?". Then the bottom drops out as you realize That's Not The Deal; There Is No Fucking Deal. A few understand this going in. A few seem to never get it.

After 5 seasons I can say for sure that Tony Soprano is an actual demon wearing a human flesh. What a disgraceful guy he is. His luck was to be played by James Gandolfini so we can't escape Jim's magnetic charisma.

Two recent two portrait studies. Things are evolving to an interesting place (but I'm still not satisfied when comparing them to their references).

I’m coming to understand that maintaining hope is radical.

My plan for the next ten years is: 1. Work as a graphic design professor; 2. Earn extra money with TTRPG art commissions; 4. Publish my own zines, comics and games; 5. Sell stock art for indie TTRPG zines. --- Bonus: it would be awesome to professionally Illustrate children's books.

I don't know if this was already tested and discarted yet but Coloring Books seem to be a low hanging fruit as a product to diversify TTRPG artists source of income. Especially if each book follow a specific popular theme (mechas, European fantasy, lovecraftian etc) it seems profitable*.

It took me one year and half to really see the progress coming, but folks let me tell you: Loomis method works for me. Like none did before. 🔥✍️

Today I've created an artist's book called "pocket sky". It basically provides you a portable skyline that works even when there's no sun outside. You access visions of a continuum future trough the materiality of the book. It's part of my Master's in visual arts research.

I've watched the first 3 seasons of Sopranos and man, these guy's lives are pathetic. They have nothing but money. And even regarding money, only Tony has a lavish life. The rest of them all live like rats. It's the most effective anti-mafia show ever. New cars, new shoes, new stuff... who cares?

Idea for a business in the TTRPG space: STL files for 3d printing miniatures based on indie games with a big following: Mausritter, Bastionland, Lancer, Mork Borg etc. No one needs another generic medieval model. Also, make each product available both on 28mm and 15mm scale.

Its crazy to think that at my age my father could look back and feel his life was significantly better than his father's generation have been. I have the impression it's quite the oposite for me: I'll never be able to give my son what my father gave me. I feel there was a massive empoverishment.
