It so annoys me when journalists assume private schools in Australia offer a higher ‘quality’ of teaching. It’s utter rubbish. All of our teachers do the same (or very similar) teacher education courses and often the most skilled teachers are hired by the most needy schools.
Australia’s public school systems are world leading. Parents paying $800,000 to put their child through a private school have been sucked in by spin.
