Like many others, yesterday was my last day at PFF. I had an incredible 12 years as a full time member of staff and got to do things I would have never dreamed of when I first fell in love with football as a 14 year old in Scotland.
Unfortunately, I was a part of the PFF layoffs today. Really enjoyed my time there, where I met and worked with so many kind, hard-working and incredibly talented people. Excited to see what's next. Appreciate y'all.
The most commonly mocked players to the Ravens with the 14th overall pick are Vega Ioane and Spencer Fano, but who is the better fit? gordonmcguinness.substack.com/p/spencer-fa...

One of my favorite ways to use mock draft simulators is to map out different scenarios, including the worst case scenario. I did that for the Ravens and still think they are in a really strong position at pick 14: open.substack.com/pub/gordonmc...

With the top of the market gone, these veteran pass-rushers could still help round out Baltimore’s rotation.

Can't gate keep this until my next mock draft on Monday, I am starting to be all in on the idea of Akheem Mesidor to the Ravens at 14. We know they wanted to pair Crosby and Hendrickson, and Mesidor would be a great complement to TH given his run stopping ability. Age guardrails be damned!
It's hard to believe that Eric DeCosta was counting on the knee of a player he was trading TWO first round draft picks for being 100% beyond two years? This trade back out has broken brains.
Daniel Jones ranked 31st among QBs with a 3.1% big time throw rate in 2025. That 3.1% rate was his best since 2020. Lot of money for a player who I don't think elevates your offense.
Wild 12 hours for the Ravens, time for a new mock draft! open.substack.com/pub/gordonmc...
Post Trey Hendrickson Signing Mock Draft
After a wild 12 hours that saw the Ravens pull out of the Maxx Crosby trade and sign edge defender Trey Hendrickson, it’s time to jump right back in with another mock draft.

So the Hendrickson deal is essentially 2 years/$60 million and then the Ravens can make a decision from what I can tell from the early reporting. Think they'd still prefer Crosby, but it's a good fall back plan.

The Ravens should protect the Linderbaum pick but be willing to offset everything else here. Can get a guard in the Kolar range, perhaps a WR and EDGE in the Jones/Likely range.
Elgton Jenkins is the best available Tyler Linderbaum replacement for the Ravens, and it wouldn't impact the comp pick formula
The Ravens offensive line is currently worse on paper (with a lot of time to improve at this point) but it's hard to be mad at them not being willing to spend $27m per year for Linderbaum. Don't love the Simpson signing, but I do think he's better than Vorhees.
The Packers getting a 4th round pick for a player who had already posted his goodbye on Instagram is pretty incredible business
Maxx Crosby's PFF pass-rush win rate in the 4th quarter is over 4 percentage points (a big gap in PRWR) better than any Ravens edge in that span. I think most people watching the Ravens defense in recent years have known that they badly needed a closer.
