The licence to publish and to distribute; a free movement of ideas... the impetus to make books seems almost folly nowadays, to extend physical communication beyond national borders.

That had a huge impact on the bookshop's sales to customers in the US. Maybe it's just me being old school, but there is something sinister about impeding the flow of books and letters.
