Got my hearing aids back. The difference in sound quality is huge, and my doctor said my aids had a lot of fluid in them. I mentioned getting a dehumidifier for home, and she hates them all.

A friend took care of my wet foot problem, and I have sneakers that are thick soled and structured. I feel taller. But mostly my feet aren't wet, so I'm very grateful. ❤️

My hearing in my left ear is very slightly worse. The right remains at the same level. She says as long as I wear my hearing aids every day and keep my blood sugar controlled, we should keep my hearing at this level for a while, barring infections.

Every now and again I think it's important to recommend this book. It drives home the understanding that we live in a connected eco-system and that evil doesn't simply manifest in a vacuum. Nazi Germany studied American fascism, particularly Jim Crow, very closely before committing the Holocaust.
