unfathomable void entity to the stars
We found it. I bought it. They were reunited. This is her and Littlefoot. 24
I’ve been avoiding the Boy George zionist AI song because I think my ears would projectile vomit BUT I just saw some of the lyrics and it’s even worse than I imagined. I thought kidnapping twinks would be the stain on his legacy but BOY was I wrong!
Black Arms to Hold You Up won the Eisner for Best Reality-Based Work!
Messing around trying to figure out print colors for my new zine. Trying to wrap my head around overlay color blending 🫠
Oooh, I'm about to go off on a tangent because the quoted post brings up something that is super interesting about superheroes, artists, men, and women. Male action heroes DO look like bodybuilders now. And they shouldn't. They should look like professional athletes.
It's a fucking injustice that male action heroes look like body builders, but female action heroes don't look like female body builders. They just look like models.
Got a super nasty stomach bug- just saw that it wasn’t the iceberg lettuce: the CDC tested & it came back negative. I had something with cilantro in it & some mesclun which were both on the list. Going to stick to cooked veggies for a bit 😬 Stay safe everybody
Serious question: How did folks know their explosive diarrhea from Taco Bell was different from their usual Taco Bell explosive diarrhea?
Funny story- I sent stuff to Sprocket & they actually seemed interested in publishing it, which was awesome! I love everything they’ve put out. I mentioned wanting to get an editor or proofreader (that I would pay for) and things got REALLY WEIRD. (1/2)
Creators at Silver Sprocket have released a public statement regarding longstanding concerns with the business practices of the company which alleges issues around payment of royalties, poor treatment of staff, and lack of professionalism. Drawing is clawing your way out of a gravel pit only to roll to the bottom as the rocks get more slippery with your blood each time you go down.
I’m about half way through Krasznahorkai's Baron Werckheim’s Homecoming. My first time reading him. Dense, gorgeous, & intensely human.
Another day, another comics fest rejection. That’s 0 for 6 this year.
Let’s mourn the loss of two very real heroes today: Jayson Conner, 48, and Jeffrey Newman, 58, Die; Gave Thousands of Backpacks to Those in Need www.nytimes.com/2026/07/11/n...
Jayson Conner and Jeffrey Newman, Who Gave Backpacks to Those in Need, Die Days Apart
The couple, who died within a few days of each other, provided needed supplies, like socks and wet wipes, to people living on New York City’s streets.

Say what you want about Lindsey Graham, I bet he's more fun in bed now.
My tinfoil hat hot take is I think the effort to get us to value views over interaction is about trying to shift agency away from the user and toward the platform. They want us to value what their algo can do over the relationships we build.
socmed is all brainworms especially this thought but I think it’s wild that some time over the last decade people started talking more about “views” than “likes” It’s subtly more advertisingpilled 👎 But also the idea that hella people viewed my work but didn’t like it…is the nightmare lmao
I wish I could just get a digest email of the handful of people I follow on here and never open this app ever again. I’m so so tired of social media.
Accidentally left my phone at home today and it was so nice. I didn’t realize how many things I use it for daily (hot spot, calculator, level, info, camera, etc) but did not miss the constant hum of info/news/chatter scratching at the surface.
so thankful for alt text today! no images are showing up in posts with just one image (video & posts with multiple images are loading normally). thanks alt text people (even though I still think it’s main purpose is training AI 😭)
I remember doing a crit essay where I drew some (completely original, non-referential) panels and the publisher asked me to cite them. I was like, I drew them? Am I supposed to cite myself? cite this essay like an ouroboros? They cut the art (along with other stuff) without telling me.
ultimately the fallout of all this is that cartoonists who aren't necessarily trained in academic citation, history and historiography, and don't have a background in that, will be terrified to draw anything nonfiction. and that's not on the academics who feel slighted. that's on comic publishers
Incredible moment where Fox News puts up a graphic with all the reasons it opposes the DSA and why people should be afraid of them

I really am not surprised if D&Q would turn the other way wrt stealing other people's works (LRT) since they did it to me for Constitution Illustrated. "Fair use" was their excuse for tracing wholesale.
Just bought an mp3 player & am so excited to fill it with my favorite jams. Deleting this app, along with reddit (the last social apps on my phone). In the middle of Krasznohorkai’s Baron Wenckheim’s Homecoming. Not ready for a flip phone but close!
