That’s a mitigating factor, not a dissolution. Abuse in a public forum is performative; it establishes a norm. Blocking protects the target, the nuclear block disrupts the connection, but the content remains, and that remnant exercises power.

Such a cool initiative! We need something similar for regular users to gauge their understanding of the protocol (and more importantly, find out whether the protocol is addressing things they actually care about). where-were.at

re; the discourse around Cornell 7 - it would be nice if instances like this opened space for broader discussions about patriarchy and violation of bodily autonomy at a systemic level. beyond "educate your sons", "believe women" - how patriarchal violence is so nuanced and takes many forms.

I'm excited to announce that the PLC Organization now has a statute! And a bank account! And a @standard.site publication! All the important stuff. The PLC Org is an independent Swiss Association meant to operate the PLC directory, which collects and distributes signed updates to atproto accounts.

The third edition of the global gathering for the Atmosphere Community is taking place in Amsterdam, April 29th - May 2nd. This includes side-events and main conference days. Another meetup for ATProto Toronto! Come hang out, chat with fellow Atmosphere-heads, and make some local connections. A loose schedule: - 6 PM: Arrive and eat pizza 🍕 - 7 PM: Demos! - 8 PM: Socialize - 9 PM: Head out Featuring demos (once again!) from @bad-example.com, @hypha.coop, and hopefully more! Send a DM on Bluesky to request to demo. Supported by @hypha.coop, hosted at @1rg.space. An @ 1RG event. This event has a code of conduct: https://1rg.space/code-of-conduct/ ♿️ Accessibility ​​​1RG does not have an accessible entrance. The front entrance requires 3 steps of about 8 inches each. The rear entrance is two steps. This event will be held on the second floor which is accessible via an L-shaped 14-step staircase with handrails on both sides. There are bathrooms on the ground floor and second floor.
