So, to be honest. I found the Odyssey movie kind of terrifying, & for me it was a mistake to see it in IMAX (especially as I was pretty close to the screen). Don't get me wrong. It's a good movie with fantastic acting. But it was honestly a bit much for me.
The production of The Winter's Tale at the Delacorte theater in Central Park is FANTASTIC. It's definitely one of Shakespeare's weirder plays but for some reason the Delacorte always does a better job with the weird ones IMO. The cast, direction, & set are all amazing. Go if you can.
I have two nieces coming to see me this weekend. I offered all the unique cultural riches of NYC. They're going to see a boy band in New Jersey and to check out the big Barnes & Noble in Union Square 🫤 Anyway. I'm at Shakespeare in the park.
Senator Moreno will rot in hell if there is one. I hope there is. It infuriates me that they are putting a good public servant through this in his retirement.

Don't get me wrong, I have never myself dated a cousin. But I guarantee that every person reading this post could go back a couple generations in their family tree & find 2nd (& indeed, 1st) cousins married to each other. In the not very distant past, it was commonplace. 1/🧵

Dr. Fauci is a hero. He really is. He helped guide America thru a mass death event. Millions more could have died but they did not, thanks to him. Everyone over 70 owes him a debt. It is disgusting that we live in a country that not only dishonors him but actively smears his good name.
This is also what I think. Normally I'd be all "serve or resign", but in this case, meh. Let Mitch eat pudding in the hospital for the rest of his term while Trump fumes.

I tend to hang that stuff to dry anyway. It's too much $$, but It's better than trekking six flights of stairs several times per load
My elevator will be shut down for "modernization" for at least 8 weeks. The laundry room is in the basement; you have to go outside to get to it if there's no elevator, not to mention 6 flights of stairs. 😬 I'm thinking I'll send sheets, towels & heavy stuff out to be washed; I have multiple sets.
I love her. Also, all of may curses on Trump's ugly head. May all of the misery and destruction he has caused fester in his heart and may he never know a happy day

Why is the Odyssey only out for a month, given that the seats (at least in New York) have all long been sold out? They could sell out seats in the IMAX theaters for another month, easily, and there haven't been many movies in recent years you could say that about

I am supposed to leave for Spain in 2 weeks. They just declared a national emergency today because of wildfires, which are severely affecting areas near Madrid and Zaragoza, both of which I will be visiting. I am trying to decide if I need to cancel my trip. ☹️
