Green Party Migration Policy MG300. The functions of the Home Office will be divided between a Department of the Interior and a Department of Migration, which, among other duties, will handle all visa applications.
Rachel Millward@rachelmillward.bsky.social · 9mo agoIn today's Guardian I spoke about the need for the Home Office to be broken up to ensure migrants are dealt with by a department designed to make the system work rather than simply projecting a hardline stance to the public.
I've spoken to TfL workers who are terrified about sudden Skilled Worker visa changes. In less than 3 weeks, hundreds of workers risk losing their jobs, their homes and the right to stay in the country they’ve been building their lives in. [1/3]

I raised the devastating impact of sudden visa rule changes with the Mayor – over 200 TfL workers are at risk of deportation. These are people who trusted the system, built lives here and are now left in limbo. I'm glad the Mayor has committed to lobby the Government and support these workers.
