Everyone’s expectations got skewed over the past week but Abdul El-Sayed getting $70 million spent against him in a state he lost a primary by like 20 points eight years ago and still winning last night is probably the most impressive electoral accomplishment of the decade.

President Barack Obama endorses US Senate-IA candidate Josh Turek. Obama: "I know a little something about winning Iowa. Of all the things I did in politics, Iowa was my favorite thing." Vote for Josh Turek, to move Iowa forward!

BTW don't ever forget everything goes back to John Roberts & rest of the Republican judges on current #SCOTUS. Trump currently wouldn't be able to treat blue states as if they are colonies for red state Republicans if not for the Roberts Court giving him immunity for his actions as POTUS.

"President Donald Trump has rejected disaster aid for Democratic-run states at the highest rate in the 47-year history of the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

He approved just 23 percent of disaster funding requests from states with a Democratic governor and two Democratic senators since returning to office 14 months ago. For states with a Republican governor and two Republican senators, it’s the opposite — Trump has approved 89 percent of their requests."

The postponed Blanche confirmation vote is a win in and of itself. A big win. History will remember that we made our voices heard, and that his own party rejected him. That matters!

The website still says 14. One of the service members not being counted is Sgt. Angel Sarah Rampersad from Queens. She was married to a woman she met in the Army, and one of our podcast listeners pointed out that fact was not acknowledged at a recent memorial service. So I am acknowledging it here.

As of this morning, Trump's Pentagon still only counts 14 service members as having been killed in the War in Iran. The Pentagon claimed last night it was a tech error. It has not been fixed. They are refusing to count four service members. You can see it here: dcas.dmdc.osd.mil/dcas/conflic...
