Legitimately, I probably will only have time to play Fire Emblem and Zelda for the rest of the year, and I’m kind of okay with that. I’ve defeated FOMO by resigning myself to a low-information gamer lifestyle.

Crossed 1000 miles of running for the year. Crossed that same threshold last year in December. Proud of my progress.
Runners: Recommendations for vests that can hold two water bottles and gels? I want to start training in one as I move into my marathon training block. Would love to not spend an exorbitant amount, but also don’t want to go so cheap I end up buying something else.
Getting into running is great because you can just eat an English muffin with peach jam like a Redwall character, all while claiming it’s for your “glycogen stores” or whatever
Though it’s hubristic to say, I believe I have discovered the fabled “okay to go to Wegmans” hour, when it’s not too early and not too busy
people really react to certain bloggers like they’re the special advisor to the gamer president determining important gamer policy
I genuinely did not know Beast of Reincarnation was out in a few days. This is like Crimson Desert for me all over again. My information environment has crumbled.

Went to the Lincoln Center last night to see the US premiere of Jesse Montgomery’s “These Righteous Paths,” and when I tell you the room was in rapt, awed attention, I am in no way exaggerating. A truly stunning, singular work.
tangential to Jake’s point here but I think we should stop saying we “beat” games when we finish them. I think games are more dance than contest, although they can appear to be confrontational
