My post-doc at Uni of Surrey with Prof Sastry has come to an end, so I'm looking for work 👀 Seeking interdisciplinary projects looking at the harms of AI to marginalised people. I have a strong publication record and v. broad range of skills. Ideally hybrid/ remote positions in UK. Please share 🩷

A "selfie" photograph of Eddie Ungless, a white transmasc researcher, wearing a pink suit. They are smiling at the camera. He has a brown mullet, brown moustache, and several facial piercings. There are two pieces of overlaid text. These read "Open to work" and "Interdisciplinary researcher with expertise on the harms of AI"

So a great thing about contracts is that they usually have and end date and/or means of ending them. If your university or other organization bent the knee to OpenAI or any of the other chatbot providers, when a contract is up, there is an opportunity for pressure: forms.gle/ZGn5brEGU4t9...

hear me talk about how AI is *really* ruining your job, not by taking it but by undermining your autonomy, enabling (nay, encouraging) your boss to monitor and assess you all the time, and removing everything that sparks joy in your working day Edinburgh (🥰), 28/11!

... and to all the interviewees, who were a delight! The paper presents a mixed-methods study exploring phonetic features of trans men's speech in different contexts, along with qualitative interviews about their voices, experiences and metalinguistic awareness. I'm really proud of it!
