Remember when the Panama papers got released and we saw proof the world was run by unimaginably wealthy, tax dodging bastards? Then there was Epstein and we found out most of them were nonses too? All those people are still running the world.
The government must put the brakes on. Data centres should not be given priority for water and electricity over communities.
Who exactly is it that is “creating a permission structure” here? Is it only Labour MPs alone, do we think, or are they getting significant help from outside agencies? What should we call it, if there’s close cooperation on core government policy the public hates, across almost all media outlets?

It hasn't escaped my attention that Burnham rowed back on capping contributions from mega-donors in the same week as he dressed up in the livery of a Labour mega-donor to announce they'd be getting 10,000 people's worth of free elbow grease.

This is such an obvious electoral trap it's kind of joyful to see Labour blunder into it like Unlucky Alf going down the hole in the road. Every power cut, every time the water runs out or the rivers run dry will be blamed on datacentres and the politicians that endorsed them.

In the Green Party any member can propose a policy - it's part of our constitution & the rest of the membership decide to debate it or not. When the media present that as the Green Party "proposing" a policy they're misleading you - worth asking why the billionaire press constantly attack us.

Because I've spent a lot of time in the paleogenomics space, I've been watching this new iteration of race science develop in real time over the past 15 or so years (same guys, in a lot of cases). I was really hoping it would disappear on its own, but we're really gonna have to fight this battle.
This is IMO the full appeal of LLMs to middle management: you never bothered to learn how to put a table in a Word document. Now, you will never have to, because you are a superior human. Behold: a table in Word, so it was ordained.

This is incredible, this is the technology of tomorrow.
Nathan Cofnas wasn't suspended to "silence free speech" or end "academic freedom". There are limits, limits respected by most sensible people, he breached them. It's genuinely as simple as that.

Including breach of contract, using the University of Ghent’s name and legitimacy to promote his racial supremacist views and causing reputational damage.
