I'm sure it will come as no surprise that this petition has been signed by a number of transphobes - J Michael Bailey, Michael Biggs, Jo Phoenix, Helen Joyce, Holly Lawford-Smith, Jerry Coyne, and Colin Wight. Those are just the names that jumped out on a quick scan; there may be others.

Arday’s death—because he lost his postdoc. Apparently there’s nothing a white man can do that deserves consequences.

My genuinely non controversial take is that if you're signing an open letter of support for Cofnas you're either a racist or want to be admired in racist spaces.
For those who are aware of Oxford's transphobes it will be no surprise to see Biggs at the top of this list. Transphobia and racism go hand in hand.

There's a theory of art that, regardless of source material for an adaptation, fascists who attempt art can't succeed because they can only engage with the sign and not the signified. Their reproduction can be visually perfect, but will be hollow, spiritually sterile, lacking humanity.
