In October last year I was fired by Rockstar Games in what we believe was a union busting move. We lost our home. We lost 2 jobs with my partner being forced to resign. We lost a community. Most importantly however we had to leave our two dogs behind, one of which will never return.

The severity of these firings could have spelled the end for a burgeoning union effort that was underway, but it didn't. One of the most interesting new indie games I've experienced this year*, with backing from Blumhouse, and already it seems like the studio's been shuttered. What a bloody industry. *(I was very remiss to blank on it when we did our mid-year round-up actually, was already annoyed at myself for that)

My latest for Respec, in which I try to untangle what's been going on with #LoveAndDeepspace over the past few weeks... not exactly a fun one to write, but I feel like it's important that writers who care about this game, its creatives, and its community attempt to keep a record of what's happening.

Within hours, GC groups threatened defamation lawsuits and Amnesty was forced to pull it down. Proving the point they're anti rights. Anyways, here it is.
