Very sad to hear of the passing of Mushuau Innu Elder Joachim Nui in Natuashish today. At age 92 and one of the last Innu to be born and raised on the land in the Innu nomadic hunter-gatherer tradition. I consider myself lucky to have met and spent time with him in my travels with the Innu.
